RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process and monitor accounts payable.


• Process expense accounts, verify vouchers and process reimbursements.


• Process credit card expenses, verify supporting documents, process payment and accounting.


• Perform bank reconciliation.


• Prepare GST – QST – HST reports.


• Process payroll.


• Prepare various accounting and management reports.


• Any other inherent task assigned by the CFO.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge of Excel.


• Knowledge of Simply Accounting software an asset


• Initiative, dynamism and interpersonal skills.


• Bilingual (spoken and written)


• Versatile and able to manage priorities

• Preparing documents using our programs (Patricia and Bosco) for:
  
  
  
  • Filing patents and industrial drawings within Canada, The United States using portals of WIPO and OHIM
  
  
  • Filing responses (patents and industrial drawings) at their respective offices in (Canada, United States and PCT)
  
  
  • Payment and submission for examination requests, title document, deadline extension, final fee and others
  
  
  
  


• Preparing and filing patent application or National Phase entry in different countries around the world through foreign correspondents


• Preparing correspondence and invoices for clients


• Communication, follow up with clients (through emails)


• Deadlines management with responsible agent


• Researching the databases of Patent Offices in US, Canada, WIPO and OHIM for completion of files

REQUIREMENTS

• College degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience


• Strong IT skills, good knowledge of Microsoft Office


• A minimum of two years of relevant experience


• Written and verbal French and English is a must with excellent communication skills


• Ability to handle various tasks efficiently


• Managing priorities in an organized manner


• Provide timely professional responses to both clients and colleagues


• Able to work under pressure, and Teamwork

TRAINING/CONTINUENCE TRAINING

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Opening, preparing and filing patent applications within Canada, the United States and internationally.


• Preparing and forwarding correspondence


• Frequent communication with clients


• Regularly updating patent database


• Keeping a close eye on client files and managing deadlines


• Performing research related to patent matters


• Other related tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• College degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training or experience


• Strong computer skills, good knowledge of Microsoft Office


• Minimum one year of relevant experience


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English)


• Detail-oriented


• Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced and changing environment


• Ability to manage priorities in an organized manner


• Capable of providing professional responses in a timely fashion to internal and external clients


• Respectful, accountable and good work ethic


• Able to work with little supervision as well as part of a team

• Rename, save, and file communications from CIPO, USPTO, WIPO and international agents


• Opening and closing of files


• Entry and updating data relating to customers and suppliers in the computer software


• Preparation and sending of pro-forma letters via Canada Post, Purolator, DHL…
